Happy 6th Chinaversary To Our Family!

We are a family.

And 6 years ago today

our precious Ahnalin was placed in our arms.

This is not the prettiest picture of me,

but we both had been crying.

God has brought us a long, long way.

We struggled with Reactive Attachment Disorder,
PTSD and Sensory Processing Disorder.

She didn't sleep at night

for a long, long time.

But God has healed her and now

she is a wonderful sleeper.

She was terrified of Daddy for a long time

but they are so tight now!

Ahnalin and India are REAL sisters in every sense of the word.

They fight (like crazy!)

but love each other more than life.

We are so blessed to have each other.

We are a family.

Thank you Lord.

She looks so much the same now as she did then, only older. :) Congrats to you all! I've read the long post about the adoption, and there are some parts of it that I think about often and have stuck with me and influence how I parent my own child, such as I can't eat until Charlotte is full, and the reason for this is remembering how Ahnalin tried getting food rom your mouth. I must make sure my little girl isn't hungry and wanting to food I'm eating. What this has taught her is sharing. What she often does now is trying to feed us. I think that leaning from Ahnalin's story has helped us not only make sure Charlotte's needs are met before even thinking about our own, but it's taught Charlotte to share with those she loves. It's helped her feel loved.

Not meaning to turn this into a me-thing, just giving an example of how Ahnalin and you have impacted another family without yet meeting us in person. (Which must happen. I'm sad it hasn't yet, you are so wonderful!)
